Investing in new technologies - particularly in the fields of CT and Ultrasound
In 2005/06 over $2 million was invested in technology upgrades. We have installed two 16-slice Aquilion CT scanners, two 4D Ultrasound scanners and two new DEXA machines in our main rooms across the group.
In 2006/07, we have already invested in Computed Radiography(CR). Starting in Cairns, this technology will be installed in all of our clinics by early 2007.
We are the only North Queensland provider who continues to bulk bill for procedures performed with the latest technology.

Providing you with high clarity images on CD-ROM
These are available on request for CT, Ultrasound and Echo procedures. As we cannot store your data indefinitely please request this as part of your initial referral.

Investing in staff recruitment and training
In response to increases in patient load we have expanded to employ nearly sixty staff in the last financial year. We have employed a new Radiologist, Senior Sonographers and Radiographers, and have recently sourced a top Cardiologist to report on echocardiography procedures.

Delivering reports direct to your practice software
In partnership with HealthLink, who design and develop health communication software, our reports are now delivered to you electronically. This is our preferred method for delivering reports to your practice.
